Dr. Arthur Fertman

Dr. Fertman attended Cornell University and holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, and Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. He also matriculated from P.S. 238, Seth Lowe Jr. High, and Forest Hills High School in case you’re interested.

Originally from New York and a Brooklyn Dodgers fan as a child, he successfully shed his misplaced loyalty and his Brooklyn accent when he moved to Boston, and has long considered himself a New Englander and a Red Sox fan. Dr. Fertman served as a dentist in the Air Force in Iceland and New Jersey where he attained the rank of Captain.

His orthodontic practice was informally known as the “Fertman Correctional Institution for Teeth”. He currently teaches at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics as a clinical instructor and lecturer. That is how he met Dr. Toro! Dr. Fertman juggles and rides a unicycle, but has been advised to keep his day job.

Dr. Toro and Dr. Fertman are looking forward to a long association at the Toro-Fertman Correctional Institution for Teeth.
